The Costume History!!!

The Costume History, by: Auguste Racinet

Two of my best friends Bonnie Lance and Kristie Ramirez Hoitsma gave me this GROOVY book! Some of the costumes from the multiple different countries have inspired me for my new spring jewelry line!

Check out La Reina!!!

Here you can see some amazing jewelry from the 14th-15th Century. Most of these designs are from Europe.

Another reason that I die over this book is because when I flip through it, I recognize the fashion that is "in-style" currently, with some modification. Fashion repeats itself. My mom always says, "When you buy something of quality, never throw it away because it will be back in before you know it!"

One of my favorite room settings...sooo Moroccan!!!

the city of angels...

Over the Martin Luther King holiday, I went on some college visits in Los Angeles! It was beautiful except for the last day and a half because it rained constantly... :(. The first day I went to UCLA during the day and Pepperdine in the evening. This timing was PERFECT because I was able to eat lunch at this really cool cafe on La Brea Ave. called American Rag. It had about thirty different kinds of salads on the menu, and an AMAZING vintage and designer store adjoining it! I am in love with this place! They also had really cool shoes....

the sunset view from the Pepperdine campus!!!

the storm clouds hovering over the Santa Monica Pier...

Jardin Majorelle

My mom and I went to Morocco this summer with two of her friends as an "inspiration" trip, well that's what we told my dad! While in Morocco, we ventured to the Jardin Marjorelle.

When Jacques Marjorelle died, Yves Saint Laurent bought the garden with his partner Pierre Bergé.

This is my mom's friend Melissa and I standing next to a patio that is overlooking a pond!

My mother and I standing on the incredible Moroccan tiles!

The wonderful blue color that is dispersed through out the entire garden is Lapis, or Lazuli Blue.

Within the walls of the Jardin Marjorelle, there are many rare plants, like aquatic, bamboo, and cactus.

In 2008 Yves Saint Laurent passed away. Now, his foundation is running the garden now.

Within the walls of the Jardin Majorelle, the memorial for Yves Saint Laurent lies. His ashes were spread throughout.

The entire group of girls in Morocco "On a Tuesday!!!"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

FINALLY ITS 2010!!!

This New Years Eve was a very special one because it was a Full moon. Not just any Full moon, it was a Blue moon!!! A Blue moon is where there are two Full moons in one month. In December 2009, the first Full moon was on December 2 and the second Full moon was on December 31 and the end of a decade!

POSITIVISM. 2010 is going to be a start to a positive year!

" Positive thoughts, create positive actions. Positive actions create positive results. Positive results create positive change. Positive change creates more positive people. More positive people create more positive thoughts. Positivism is circular. "
